Frequently Asked Questions

Pitch session

What’s the pitch session format?

  • Morning session: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM with a short break around 10:30 AM.

  • Slots: Each team gets 12 minutes total → 5 min pitch, 5 min Q&A, 2 min for entry/setup/disconnect.

  • Audience: Judges and investment teams from Khosla Ventures, Flagship Pioneering, and 20 other investors.

  • Attendance limits: Up to 3 founders per team in the room (space is tight). We cannot accommodate more than 3.

  • AV: We provide a screen with HDMI. Bring your laptop (and any adapter you need) and your own internet connection if required.

  • Arrival: Please arrive 30 minutes early to test your setup. We’ll keep things moving; if a team is late, we may bring the next team in to avoid delays. Coffee and light refreshments will be available in the waiting area.

How are finalists chosen for the main stage?

  • Judges will select up to 3 teams from the morning session. We aim to confirm by ~1:00 PM.

  • Afternoon presentation: 7 minutes to present (no Q&A due to audience size).

  • You may incorporate feedback from the morning session.

  • Display your contact info on your final slide for inbound interest.

  • Timing: We reserve 3 minutes for stage entry/setup/disconnect.

  • Judges’ decision is final.

Can you accommodate scheduling or other requests?

We’ll do our best to help (no guarantees).

Examples: “I have a call 10–11 AM—can my pitch be outside that window?” -> Tell us in advance and we’ll try to accommodate within the 9:00–12:00 session. Share any special needs early on so we can plan.

Will the schedule be followed exactly?

That’s the goal - and it works when everyone sticks to their time. That said, events of this scale involve many moving parts (speakers, judges, founders, attendees). We may need last-minute adjustments due to factors beyond our control. Thank you for helping us keep things orderly and on time so every team gets maximum value.
